Sheng Yuan SY281 Spiderman Variants

Feels just like yesterday I made a review of SY188 Spiderman minifigure set by Sheng Yuan and today I have to make another review of their second Spiderman minifigure set SY281.

Assembled minifigures with accessories/extra parts:

Assembled minifigures from the whole set of 8

Before we take a closer look on each of the minifigure, the following are spiderman variants that you can get from 2015 Lego Spiderman sets (76036 and 76037). Images taken from Bricklink.

Spiderman. He's not wearing red boots :(. I hope they will issue one that look exactly like Lego.

Carnage. Looks very similar to the original Lego.

Silk. I don't like the material that they used for the hair. It's soft but not rubber. I prefer the usual hard plastic.

Ghost Spiderman. What a waste to hide the face with a mask/helmet.

Superior Spiderman with mechanical arms.

Iron Spiderman. SY include two golden vines with this minifigure but no neck bracket to hold the vines. However, the vines are not appropriate for this minifigure. He should have a mechanical arm like the original Lego figure.

Arachnid Hero. This is must have in this set. I found one for sale here by Phoenix custom bricks for $39.50!!!!!!

Love the awesome design printed on the arm.

Miles Morales Ultimate Spiderman.

Minifigures with printing on the arm

It's no doubt that the printing on the torso, leg and arm of the minifigures in this set is very sharp and clear. I strongly recommend this set to all Lego Spiderman fans :). Friendly reminder. If you like them very much, please support the original :)

    1. Hi @Jpoks. thanks for the info :). i wish i have that mechanical arm part in red to have the exact same figure from the video game. i cannot make this guy stand using the current build. it's too heavy. ahaha

  3. The hair is probably the same mold and material [different color] they used for Olivia [Friends] in the SY155B set. A low quality rubber that smells.

    1. yeah, i'm with you. the figure without the mechanical arm is not a complete iron spider. if we use a search on google images will also show pictures of iron spider with a mechanical arm. in fact. almost all of the pictures will show him posing with the arm
